The Governor of Independent Long Island is also granted voting membership as representative of his country on the UCS Executive Council. A few weeks later, however, the Governor of ILI is told that the title was never legally granted in the first place. The truth, however, was stranger than the fiction: the International President of the UCS did have the legitimate authority, because he had the executive power to bring in new representatives and new countries. All of a sudden, however, those powers were arbitrarily snatched away from him when he brought in a new "micronation" into the society. Clearly a new, more decent, and more inclusive Commonwealth society was needed.
